SlimPad | British Bridle

I did a custom order for an extended Personal Wide that would fit B6 inserts. I also got a wide penholder (also extended), the larger rings, the black ring protector and my name engraved on the spine. I chose the British Bridle leather in Australian nut.

The cover is well made, works as expected and looks great. It falls open from the start, although it does take a few uses before it will close as easily too.

The leather is gorgeous. At first it was quite prone to get finger prints, but within 2-3 uses that seems to have stopped and it’s now just glossy and shiny. The inside of the cover is smoother than I expected and feels really nice. The sturdiness of the cover. really helps when writing on my lap. Did I mention that it falls open and stays completely flat? ;)

The rings are thinner than I expected, which helps make it feel slick and a bit more sophisticated and less rustic than my other 16 mm ringed organiser. The pointy ends of the business ends of the rings are quite sharp, but otherwise all edges and corners are smooth and comfortable to handle.

Finally, I would like to mention that I was very surprised when Toby said they could make me a B6 version for just £12 extra and I am so so happy with the results.

Leather quality is excellent and contact with the vendor for personalisation requests was easy and smooth

The binder is beautiful in its simple quality. The leather is thick and glossy (and smells wonderful!). Snappy Krause rings.

It came with a nice dust bag and a few sample inserts which is really helpful, and the closing strap which I love! The ring protector I chose not to use as I find it fiddly, but everything is great quality and works perfectly.

Communication with the company was also above and beyond, and shipping was fast and well-tracked. The whole experience from start to product is 5*.

This is the most elegant everyday carry (EDC) planner. It smells fantastic and the brass adds a timeless look. It is small enough to come everywhere. The loose-leaf refills are sturdy and take my fountain pen (esterbrook raven niblet) ink with ease. Highly recommended.
